About Us

Gifford Park Elementary opened its doors in August of 2019. Gifford Park is located at 717 N. 32nd Street, Omaha, NE 68131. 

Currently we welcome approximately 385 students and have 65 staff members. We welcome students in Early Childhood through 6th grade.  We are very proud of our staff and celebrate the various experiences, as educators, that they bring with them to Gifford Park. Our students are the best!

Gifford Park is fortunate to be part of a strong, diverse, inviting and united community. We are part of a community that has a well-rooted interest in preserving nature.  We have many Adopt-A-School partners to include: Lozier Corporation, Creighton College of Dentistry and College of Education, Collective for Youth, UNO College of Education, Partnership 4 Kids, and Gifford Park PTO.  We continue to seek out additional Adopt-A-School partners and mentors for our students. The Gifford Park mascot is the groundhog, with school colors of black, green and gold.

Gifford Park’s priority goals are: Creating a safe and welcoming family, student, and community-centered environment that meets the social-emotional and academic needs of EACH child EVERY day. We believe in the importance of high expectations for achievement, excellent attendance for staff and students, consistency with building-wide procedures and routines, and in the importance of building relationships and creating engaging and rigorous lessons that result in every child wanting to be at school every day!

We celebrate the diversity of our student population with over 22 languages spoken at Gifford Park. Our Gifford Park Groundhogs are everyone’s children and students, as it truly takes a village to help every child excel to their highest ability!
