Hello Gifford Park Groundhogs 

My name is Melissa Hinderaker and I am the School Counselor at Gifford Park. I graduated from UNO with a Master’s in School Counseling. This will be my fourth year here as the School Counselor, but 14 years total in the district.

Before becoming a School Counselor, I was a classroom teacher for four years. I love being the School Counselor at Gifford Park. I will be going into all of the classrooms every other week to teach Guidance lessons about academic, social/emotional, and college/career development. I visit with students individually, and in small groups, on topics such as attendance, friendship, study skills, and loss.
